Stuff Happens Program:
When you enter a Mellew Productions event, as with all major run events, there is always a clearly stated policy of no refunds, transfers and substitutions. So often you pay $50 or more for essentially a t-shirt. We all know that between payment for an event and the actual event, all the things of life can alter your ability to toe the starting line. We call this Stuff Happens.
Mellew Productions is proud to announce you now have an option to guarantee your entry fee. When you register online for any half marathon or full marathon, you will see a box in our entry form that will say "Stuff Happens", Check that box and $10 will be added to your final fee. If for any reason you cannot cross the start line your entry fees can be applied to a future Mellew half or full marathon event.
There are rules however.
Location of Start/Finish Line:
The Tyler Rose marathon will start and end in the Rose Center in Tyler.

The course will be open for 6 1/2 hours. This allows walkers to compete at a 15 minute per mile pace. It does not allow for long stops. We would appreciate all to meet course time limits.
We will have pace teams at the Rose marathon. Our leaders will be guiding you to finish times of 3:40, 4:00, 4:20, and 4:40. Our pace teams are staffed and provided by the Dallas Running Club.

Our packet pickup will take place at the Tyler Rose Garden Center. You may register and pay in person at packet pickup. Our packet pickup and late registration will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2012 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. You will also be able to get your packet and register race morning.
Our packet pickup will be held at the Rose Garden Center at 420 Rose Park Drive in Tyler.
Jaguar Chip Timing at the Tyler Rose:
The Tyler Rose will use the Jaguar chip timing system, which records your time precisely from start to finish. Your timing chip will be in your bib. No need to even apply a tag to your shoe. Just put your bib on and you are good to go. Age group awards will be based on chip time. Overall awards will be based on gun time.
Marathon Finisher Awards:
We are pleased to announce that Chamblee Rose Nurseries of Tyler will be providing the Tyler Rose our very own 4.5 inch potted Tyler Rose to plant where you choose. We are expecting this year's rose plant to be pink. All marathon finishers will receive a Tyler Rose finisher medal for their efforts in the finish line area. At all Mellew Production events, we try to call out everyone's name as you finish.

All water stations staff are also connected to our communications system, should you need aid just let anyone at a water station know that you need help and they will get medical aid to you.
